About this Opportunity

Welcome to Fraud Management. Our mission is to protect our customers, bank, and society against fraud while ensuring an exceptional customer experience. As part of our team, you'll play a crucial role in directly stopping fraud and reducing friction for genuine customers using Nordea's services and products.

We're expanding our capabilities in First-Party Fraud and Internal Fraud within Fraud Management. In this role, you'll contribute to building these capabilities using our existing systems, tools, and data.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Collaborating closely with our complex investigation team to gain insights into fraud trends and develop mitigation solutions.
• Using our R-based analytical platform to analyze data, test hypotheses, and build tactical solutions.
• Learning how our different systems operate and using your creativity to combine their capabilities.

You’ll join a multi-disciplinary team located in Stockholm, Helsinki, and Copenhagen, with positions available in Stockholm or Helsinki. Our team is responsible for optimizing Nordea's fraud detection and plays a central role in Nordea's Fraud Management unit. We work closely with fraud investigators, business units, and IT to develop and maintain our platforms.

Your Experience and Background:

• Quantitative academic background (M.Sc. or similar).
• Data analysis skills to evaluate datasets, controls, and build solutions.

Additionally, it would be advantageous if you have:

• Experience with fraud/financial crime detection solutions from vendors like Featurespace, FICO, SAS, ACI, IBM, BAE.
• Working knowledge of SQL, R/Python, and data.
• Understanding of software development concepts, version control, and clean code.
• Knowledge of Nordea/Nordea Finance credit products and assessment processes.
