About Our Team

Business Banking (BB) at Commonwealth Bank strives to enhance the financial wellbeing of individuals, businesses, and communities through a diverse range of services targeted at small to medium enterprises, regional and agribusiness clients, as well as personal and institutional online trading customers.

The BB GFRD team plays a crucial role in supporting Business Banking's strategic objectives by providing oversight on risk and compliance, implementing robust risk frameworks, and coordinating significant risk-related projects.

Your Role and Contributions

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will:

• Proactively support the Senior Manager, BB Risk & Controls Enablement (Insights).
• Work closely with stakeholders across various teams to enhance our Risk Management System.
• Drive improvements in data quality and deliver actionable business insights through innovative data reporting.
• Advocate for BB in Group-wide forums and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to risk and compliance management.

Who You Are

Ideal candidates will have:

• Strong analytical skills and expertise in data cleansing and preparation.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, R, or similar coding languages.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with all levels of stakeholders.
• A focus on details, the ability to adapt quickly, and manage tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.

While not required, additional qualifications in data analytics or a related field, along with experience in reporting automation tools, would be highly advantageous.
