Job Opportunity: Senior Data Analyst (Oil & Gas)

As the energy sector evolves, Turner & Townsend is seeking a Senior Data Analyst (Oil & Gas) to join our Performance Forum team. Candidates with extensive knowledge in oil and gas facilities, and exposure to renewable energy projects, are encouraged to apply. This role is ideal for a commercially-minded analytical thinker with excellent interpersonal skills.

Job Description

In the role of Senior Data Analyst, you will identify emerging cost and schedule trends, understand drivers of project cost overruns, highlight risk areas, and provide independent benchmarking studies to our clients in the oil and gas sector.

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze oil and gas project data to produce high-quality benchmarking reports.
  • Present analysis findings and consulting studies to clients.
  • Prepare technical and thought leadership articles.
  • Facilitate collaborative client working groups.
  • Establish working relationships within the Performance Forum team and the broader Turner & Townsend organization.
  • Organize and attend client meetings and workshops across multiple regions.
  • Manage consultancy projects ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Support the preparation of consulting proposals.
  • Establish and maintain client relationships.
  • Support team knowledge sharing and contribute to a positive team culture.
  • Adhere to SOX control responsibilities where applicable.

Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in Oil & Gas from industry or research/consulting environments.
  • Sound knowledge of Oil & Gas development concepts and production facilities.
  • Experience in client relationship development is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills and proven data handling capability (MS Excel essential; Tableau a plus).
  • Ability to identify improvements in data handling processes.
  • Experience managing workloads to meet deadlines and budgets.
  • 10-15 years of experience as a Data Analyst or equivalent.
  • Willingness to visit the Houston Client office occasionally and participate in annual international business trips.

Salary and Additional Information

This full-time role offers a competitive salary range of $95K-$140K per year, reflecting base salary only. Turner & Townsend reserves the right to adjust the salary based on candidate experience and qualifications. On-site presence requirements may vary based on client needs.
