About the Team:

We're a dynamic Data Science & ML Engineering group within the Enterprise Business Services focused on the Finance domain. Our projects range from developing innovative products and tackling data collection, to enhancing machine learning models for better business process integration. Our areas of expertise include Automated Forecasting, Anomaly Detection, NLP, Gen AI, and Optimisation among others. At Walmart, you will work with cutting-edge technologies like machine learning, deep learning, NLP, and big data solutions.

What You'll Do:

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will:

• Provide analytical support through data validation, trend analysis, and complex data interpretation to influence strategic decisions and drive change within the company.
• Extract and transform data from a variety of sources including SQL, BigQuery, Hive, and Presto, using advanced analytical tools like Python, R, and SQL.
• Communicate intricate data insights through visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, Power BI, and DASH to stakeholders across the business.
• Direct and synthesize large analytics datasets to support project objectives, ensuring accuracy and relevance of data.
• Utilize your analytical skills to assess data validity and impact on strategic decisions.

What You'll Bring:

We are looking for candidates who have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related area with 3+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree with more than 1 year of relevant experience.
• High proficiency in data visualization and analytical tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Looker.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases and data warehouses.
• Hands-on programming skills, particularly in Python, with a strong grasp of data structures.
• A foundational understanding of ML and big data analytics.
• Flexibility to work in a 24x7 environment, including rotating shifts, weeks off, and holidays.

Experience in the Finance domain is a plus.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Arts, Finance, or related field and 2 years' experience in data analysis or related field.
• Alternatively, a Master's degree in a similar field or 4 years' experience in data analysis, data science, or statistics.
