About Our Team

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be part of our centralized Analytics & Data Science team. Our multidisciplinary team supports our travel vertical, specializing in hotel inventory distribution. Operating at the intersection of data-driven decision-making and innovative product development, our team thrives on rapid experimentation. We develop data-driven pricing strategies, optimize acquisition channels, and evaluate marketing strategies aimed at attracting high-intent, quality users.

About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst for our Travel vertical. You’ll work with travel-related data, including hotel inventory availability, price competitiveness, and customer journey flows within our mobile application and website. Your role involves answering strategic questions and uncovering insights about paid and organic traffic that will drive our business strategy and rapid growth.

Ensuring data quality is a key component of this role. You will query granular data to verify the functioning of our tracking systems, especially surrounding our native reinforcement learning pricing model. Your strong analytical skills in SQL and Python will be critical as you conduct detailed investigations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our data.

This role provides a dynamic and impactful opportunity to take ownership of your work. You will collaborate closely with our Travel leadership team to answer urgent business questions and dive deep into travel industry data. This role is perfect for someone who excels in quantitative analysis and can translate findings into actionable business recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Data-driven Culture: Leverage complex datasets to generate actionable insights that influence product strategy and drive results.
• Investigate Trends & Anomalies: Analyze trends and anomalies in our pricing model data, support debugging efforts, and determine root causes of changes in conversion rates and financial metrics.
• Data Management: Access, clean, and organize raw data for your team and stakeholders.
• Business Understanding: Analyze how pricing strategies affect customer segments and hotel property types, and use these insights to formulate strategic recommendations.

Preferred Experience

• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python for data analytics
• Experience with dashboarding tools and comfortability with Git
• Mentorship experience and a keen interest in teaching and peer reviewing
• 3+ years of experience in data analysis, data science, or a related field
• Strong problem-solving skills, capable of analyzing and modeling large datasets
• Experience in fast-paced, high-growth startups or the travel industry
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting data clearly

Bonus Points

• Proficiency with tools such as DBT, Amplitude, Snowflake, and Looker
• Ability to independently collaborate with business stakeholders and create data models
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM and advanced degree in Analytics, Data Science, or equivalent
