Business Banking (BB) works towards securing and enhancing the financial wellbeing of individuals, businesses, and communities. BB provides a wide range of services and solutions to our small to medium size enterprises, regional and agribusiness clients. We also cater to the needs of personal and institutional online trading customers.
The purpose of the BB Governance, Framework and Risk Delivery (GFRD) team is to support BB in achieving its strategy by giving an overview of BB's risk and compliance, ensuring effective deployment of risk frameworks, and coordinating major risk projects.
Your Important Work:
Your main role will be to assist the Senior Manager, BB Risk & Controls Enablement (Insights), and proactively work with stakeholders from different BB sectors (including Line 1 Op Risk, Line 2 Op Risk & Compliance, Product and Distribution teams) in the following ways:
Support ongoing improvements to BB’s Risk Management System RiskInSite (RiS) Data Quality
Perform data extraction from various sources and cleaning to ensure data integrity with different internal stakeholders to help define and scope business problems
Collect and analyze data from multiple sources to identify trends and patterns, and provide the business with actionable insights
Create innovative and insightful data-driven reports to provide transparency over policy implementation and risk framework adherence while encouraging consistency across BB
Design visualizations and dashboards to help stakeholders understand data insights
Represent and advocate for BB in Group-wide Working Groups where appropriate (e.g. RiS Business Unit Administration, Data Analysis Risk Tool (DART))
Take ownership of and design continuous improvement initiatives
Effectively communicate complex analytical findings to stakeholders clearly and concisely
We are looking for people who have:
Experience in reporting automation and medium proficiency in data analytics tools and platforms such as SQL, Tableau, Tableau Prep, Teradata, Power Query, and Alteryx
Great attention to detail and high accuracy while managing competing priorities
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment showing flexibility and adaptability
High level competency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word
Strong reporting and analytical skills
Ability to think critically and use data-driven insights to solve problems
