Role Description

As a Senior Data Analyst at OnTheMarket, you will analyze and interpret data to provide actionable insights that inform business strategies within the real estate sector.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze extensive datasets using statistical methods and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) to uncover trends and insights.
  • Develop predictive models, clustering algorithms, and segmentation strategies for business forecasting and customer profiling.
  • Translate complex data findings into actionable insights and strategic recommendations for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to identify opportunities, address challenges, and drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Create sophisticated data visualizations and executive-level reports to communicate key metrics effectively.
  • Automate reporting processes, develop data pipelines, and ensure data accuracy in reporting outputs.
  • Establish data governance frameworks and data quality standards to ensure data integrity and compliance.
  • Implement data validation procedures and monitor data quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and project objectives.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on data analytics, providing guidance and training to junior analysts.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in data analytics and business intelligence.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and innovation in data analytics workflows.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; advanced degrees or certifications (Data Science, MBA) are advantageous.
  • Significant experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or data science roles with a proven track record.
  • Hands-on experience with data analytics tools such as SQL and Python, and expertise in statistical analysis and data visualization techniques.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker) to create impactful dashboards and reports.
  • Experience with data manipulation, querying, and modeling using SQL databases; familiarity with big data technologies is desirable.
  • Proficiency in query performance tuning and analysis.
  • Experience using Google Analytics and creating custom reports.
  • Familiarity with Geospatial queries using PostGIS or similar technologies.
  • Experience with CI/CD processes for high-quality deliverables and automated testing.
  • Familiarity with functional programming (e.g., Clojure) is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate data insights into actionable business strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills to present complex technical concepts and influence decision-makers.
  • Leadership qualities to mentor junior team members and lead data-driven initiatives.
  • Understanding of business operations, KPIs, industry trends, and competitive landscapes.
  • Ability to identify business opportunities, risks, and challenges through data analysis.
