Senior Data Analyst, Supervision and Regulation at Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago
The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Data Analyst to join our Data Analytics team. This role is fundamental in collecting, cleaning, analyzing, and visualizing both supervisory and business operations data to identify trends and inform key stakeholders, aiding in improved decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Data Analyst, you will:
- Create and interpret intermediate to complex supervisory-focused reports and analysis for stakeholders utilizing multiple data sets.
- Translate business needs to design and develop tools, metrics, and dashboards for insightful data visualization.
- Prepare and present findings and assessments concerning complex matters to both internal and external stakeholders, orally and in written form.
- Develop, implement, and lead project plans, timelines, and milestones for moderate to highly complex projects.
- Build and maintain strategic work relationships with other Reserve Banks and the Board of Governors.
- Automate data processes from multiple complex data sets or domains.
- Consult as a technical expert in assigned areas to brainstorm data solutions using domain knowledge.
- Utilize data mining to extract information, provide intermediate to complex data analysis, and monitor data quality.
- Design and support tests of controls to ensure data integrity and compliance with requirements and guidelines.
- Mentor and coach team members by providing technical expertise and constructive feedback.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Five or more years of direct work-related experience.
- Ability to understand and execute business processes and apply complex concepts in tasks.
- Experience with banking supervision, reporting packages, databases, and programming.
- Strong independent and critical thinking, decision-making abilities, and written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for data analysis.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to provide effective direction, consultation, and constructive feedback to all levels of staff.
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to build and work collaboratively within and across teams.
- Ability to effectively lead a team without authority and resolve complex issues.
- Effective time and project management skills accommodating new and different priorities.
- Aptitude to leverage relevant technology and software applications.
- General business acumen.

Location
This is a hybrid role with expectations to be present at one of the 7th District offices — Chicago, Des Moines, or Detroit.
Additional Requirements
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 10%.
- This position requires access to confidential supervisory and FOMC information, limited to "Protected Individuals" as per U.S. federal immigration law. Eligible candidates may apply if they meet the required criteria.
