About the Role

Amazon, a leading global high-tech company known for its dynamic and innovative culture, is looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join our fast-growing Global Tax Services team. This role is centered in Seattle, WA or Arlington, VA, providing a key service in delivering exceptional analytics support across our global platforms.

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be charged with:

• Conducting in-depth research and analysis of large financial data sets
• Investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving data quality issues
• Defining business requirements for technical development based on data analysis
• Working closely with customer teams to enhance efficiency and data process controls
• Building and maintaining relationships with key technology providers and other Amazon tech teams
• Communicating complex financial/technical concepts clearly across different stakeholders

Required Qualifications

Candidates must have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Engineering, Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience with SQL queries and business intelligence reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI
• Minimum of 5 years of proficiency in Excel, inclusive of data manipulation, macros, charts, and pivot tables
• 2+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field

Preferred Qualifications

Additional qualifications include:

• An MBA or equivalent degree
• 2+ years in product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology
