Role Responsibilities

As a Data and Analytics Engineer at Float, you’ll:

  • Lead data infrastructure: Manage and optimize our data platform for smooth operations.
  • Shape our data strategy: Work with our Growth Partner, Andrew, on product analytics and revenue attribution.
  • Improve data quality: Implement robust data governance practices.
  • Enhance conversion tracking: Redefine our attribution modeling strategy.

In Your First Month

You will:

  • Understand our data & analytics platform and collaborate with Andrew and Roberto.
  • Take ownership of the data platform as the Subject Matter Expert (SME).
  • Ship your first data stack improvement.

In Your First 3 Months

You will:

  • Define and manage a product analytics tracking plan with our Director of Product, Michael.
  • Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes.
  • Ensure data integrity through robust governance practices.
  • Set up advanced trial to customer conversion attribution with Andrew.

Post Onboarding

You will:

  • Establish an Account-Based Revenue attribution model.
  • Lead documentation practices and data governance protocols.
  • Support new growth tools integration like Clay and automation services.

Requirements for Success

To excel in this role, you’ll need:

  • 5+ years of data & analytics engineering experience, preferably in B2B SaaS.
  • Proficiency in SQL and at least one mainstream programming language.
  • Experience with data integration, ETL processes, and large-scale data systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills in a fast-paced, remote environment.
  • Knowledge of data governance and documentation practices.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools like Posthog, Metabase, Segment, and Amplitude.
  • Previous remote work experience and proficiency in tools like Slack, Loom, and Linear.
