Role and Responsibilities

  • An awareness of the very complex environment we operate in.
  • An understanding of the data and relationships that exist across federal government and state government agencies.
  • Knowledge of the technology platforms that support the mission.

We are looking for experienced professionals with a deep understanding of the following:

  • Information strategy, data governance, data architecture, data management, and data quality across several health organizations.
  • Leading efforts across health organizations to dissect data-related challenges and build solutions that enable broader views of underlying problems.

Required Qualifications

  • Leverage knowledge of the healthcare industry, specifically Medicare, public health, and clinical EMR/EHR data and workflows, to inform solution design and development.
  • Exceptional understanding of healthcare data, data platforms, data architectures, data strategy, and data transformation.
  • Experience in data profiling, identifying patterns, and anomalies.
  • Support the design, development, and delivery of optimized, highly reliable data pipelines with low technical debt.
  • Demonstrated experience in building Enterprise Data Warehouses to cater to analytical and AI needs.
  • Experience in data governance and management, developing strategies to enhance data exchange, data quality, and interoperability.
  • Ability to develop strong data models, data lineage, data catalog and dictionary.
  • Preferred expertise with tools such as Collibra, Alation, IBM InfoSphere, Talend, Informatica, etc.
  • Capability to develop strong data business cases to address core challenges, present ideas to executive stakeholders, and demonstrate thought leadership.
  • Experience in understanding, analyzing, and implementing relational, star, entity-relationship, multi-dimensional, and object-oriented database models.

This role is functional and matrixed to support contracts requiring US Citizenship/Green Card or suitability clearances for customer site visits and access to secured data and systems. Inability to meet this requirement will restrict the ability to perform work on government mission-based programs. Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance is necessary.

What You Will Bring

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in technology, engineering, or a data-centric background with over 12 years of experience in data architecture, analytics, and governance.
  • Demonstrated experience in Master Data Management (MDM) with proficiency with at least one of the aforementioned tools.
  • Experience working in teams performing data management, transformation, analytics, and governance of complex technical projects in healthcare.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to potentially interact with senior staff in the agency and scientific community.
  • Ability to work/collaborate with different contractor and government teams as well as industry and vendors with a high level of professionalism, good judgment, and tact.
  • Ability to work under pressure and juggle competing priorities, being resourceful and independent problem solvers.
  • Capable of presenting complicated concepts and courses of action to Government and Leidos leadership.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills
