Team Overview

The Engineering & Data team at Voodoo builds cutting-edge tech products and platforms that drive the explosive growth of our gaming and consumer apps. In the Data team, you will be part of the Ad-Network Team, an autonomous unit of around 20 experts, comprising top-tier software engineers, infrastructure engineers, data engineers, mobile engineers, and data scientists, including three Kaggle Masters. This team's mission is to monetize Voodoo’s inventory directly with advertising partners through advanced technological solutions optimized for real-time bidding environments. Your work here will have significant strategic importance and business impact.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Senior Data Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:

• Building and maintaining data pipelines to meet evolving business requirements, ensuring optimal architecture support.
• Contributing to backend application development for ML model serving.
• Collaborating with Data Scientists to develop new tools for ML operations.
• Owning projects from initial discussions to release, including feature estimation, scoping, architecture design, and benchmarking new technologies.
• Working closely with infrastructure teams to optimize cloud technology usage.
• Operating in a highly agile environment with swift decision-making processes, and collaborating with backend, data science, mobile games, broad audience mobile apps, product, and marketing teams.

Desired Profile

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• 5-6+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or a similar role.
• Deep understanding of data warehouse design and optimization.
• Familiarity with scalability, reliability, and security topics.
• Extensive experience with Python for backend and ETL applications.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Understanding of challenges in running ML models in production, such as feature stores and training-serving skew.
• Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in English (both spoken and written).
