We are actively looking for a (Senior) Data/Cloud Engineer (f/m/d) Analytics & AI - Expert Services to enhance our innovative efforts at E.ON Digital Technology GmbH.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Data/Cloud Engineer, you will:

• Collaborate with scientists, business, and infrastructure experts to design globally impactful data solutions.
• Build and maintain efficient and scalable data pipelines ensuring data quality, accuracy, and reliability.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously enhance our data pipelines.
• Ensure high quality and stability through agile processes and peer code reviews.
• Share and advocate for innovative ideas to drive progress.

Your Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in data engineering; 5 years for a senior position.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure.
• Proficiency in Python and its frameworks.
• Experience in building and maintaining data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
• Familiarity with software development best practices, including CI/CD, version control, monitoring, automation, and testing.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-a-Code and secure cloud architectures.
• Knowledge of data lakes concepts.
• Understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerization (a plus).
• Azure certifications (a plus).
• Experience with machine learning tools and techniques (a plus).
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Fluency in English; German is a plus.
