Your Role: Building and Optimizing Data Pipelines

As a (Senior) Data Engineer at LiveEO, your main focus will be on constructing robust, automated data pipelines to manage terabytes of raster data through our sophisticated geospatial processes. These pipelines encompass a variety of elements from efficient tiling strategies to integrating diverse data sources and resolving challenges around digital elevation models (including disparity matching and offset-correction). These pipelines are crucial in both the pre-processing and post-processing stages for our cutting-edge Machine Learning models.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain efficient data pipelines capable of handling large volumes of raster data.
• Automate and orchestrate data workflows using tools like Prefect to ensure smooth data processing operations.
• Continuously enhance data processing frameworks to tackle sophisticated challenges associated with digital elevation models.
• Support and mentor a team of burgeoning engineers, fostering a collaborative and educational workspace.

Who We Are Looking For:

Our ideal candidate will be equipped with extensive experience in designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines, particularly with large datasets and raster data. Proficiency in Python, with a focus on writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code is essential.
