Opportunity: Senior Data Engineer

We are thrilled to expand our technology team and are looking for a talented Senior Data Engineer to join our Data Engineering team. This role involves designing and building robust solutions for our enterprise data platform across multiple office locations including Stellarton, Mississauga, and Calgary.

What You'll Do:

• Architect, design, and maintain scalable and secure data pipelines and integrate large volumes of data using cutting-edge technologies like Snowflake and other cloud-based databases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and implement systems ensuring seamless data accessibility across the organization.
• Lead the orchestration of complex data transformations from raw sources into curated datasets, utilizing data vault methodology to support data governance.
• Ensure the integrity and alignment of data processes and availability with a focus on operational excellence.
• Develop domain expertise to adequately support data needs of various teams including analytics, product teams, and data scientists.
• Create and manage extensive documentation for data pipelines and key operational metrics.
• Mentor junior data engineers, promoting a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and professional growth within the team.
• Problem solve and provide technical support for production data models and services.

Your Qualifications:

• Over 5 years experience in designing and implementing large-scale, production-grade data solutions, preferably in Microsoft Azure environments.
• Solid expertise in Snowflake's internal workings and its integration with other data processing technologies.
• Advanced knowledge in SQL, Python, Spark, and familiarity with Agile development frameworks.
• Adept at navigating through ambiguous and constantly evolving technical landscapes.
• Knowledge of SAP and Data Vault methodologies is advantageous.
