About the Team and Role

Join our dynamic, compact team at Gen as a Senior Data Engineer based in our Prague headquarters. This pivotal role focuses on enhancing our Online Controlled Experiments platform, which supports real-time and batch data processing, statistical data assessments, and a web-based user interface housed on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will play a crucial part in platform development, emphasizing automation, effective testing, and robust system monitoring. This position requires occasional office attendance.

Main Responsibilities

• Develop and upgrade data integrations to boost platform functionalities.
• Analyze data and implement necessary metrics.
• Work closely with the Central Data Office to streamline data source integration.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure their optimal functionality.
• Implement cutting-edge technologies within the GCP ecosystem.

Who You Are

• Proficient in SQL and Python.
• Dedicated to sustainable system development and maintenance practices.
• Expertise in automated testing, version control, code reviews, and deployment strategies.
• Strong communicator with proficiency in both verbal and written formats.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with experience in cloud technologies (GCP, AWS, Azure), column-oriented databases, JavaScript or TypeScript, and familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes will have an added advantage.
