Roles and Responsibilities:
As a Senior Data Engineer at Groov, you will:
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable batch and real-time data pipelines.
- Optimize data infrastructure for complex data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes across a multitude of sources.
- Automate data workflows, enhancing data ingestion, aggregation, and ETL processing.
- Transform raw data in Data Warehouses into strategically structured datasets accessible to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with data scientists and department leads in sales, customer service, and product development to deploy machine learning models into production environments.
- Build robust data products on cloud platforms like AWS, maintaining high standards of data accuracy, integrity, privacy, and compliance.
Qualifications:
Prospective candidates should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a relevant field.
- Over five years of experience, particularly with cloud Data Warehouse solutions like Snowflake, Redshift, and BigQuery.
- Advanced SQL skills and a solid understanding of various data ingestion tools such as Airbyte and Fivetran.
- Experience in deploying machine learning models and robust knowledge of programming languages including Python, Java, and Scala.
