We connect to a company's cash flow data sources and use data science to highlight the most impactful actions they can take to optimize their cash flow. Furthermore, we enable them to implement those actions with the click of a button. We're recruiting talented data engineers to steer the data pipelines and workflows needed to propel the data science, machine learning, and analytics that fuel our platform. By joining us, you'll be part of an early-stage company with a small, dedicated team, supported by top-level VCs (including First Round, Floodgate, Fuel and Y Combinator). About you: - You're capable of independently taking responsibility for and leading data engineering projects from concept to completion. - You're eager to make a significant contribution to the success of the business. - You have profound opinions, but you're open to change. - You're always thirsty for knowledge. - You love being an integral part of a team building and releasing enchanting products that will benefit thousands of companies. What you’ll do day-to-day: - Take responsibility for the current and future state of the data architecture. - Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and product managers to understand their data needs and convert them into designs. - Build scalable data frameworks and data pipelines needed to support data science, analytics, machine learning, and product uses. - Maintain the data quality, efficacy, automation, and visibility of data pipelines and data transformations. - Work with different teams within the company to promote data-driven projects and offer data artifacts that integrate seamlessly into our product experience. - Address various technical issues on a daily basis to enhance system health and code base. The ideal candidate: - Holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - Has 5 or more years of work experience (including at least 3 years in data engineering). - Is proficient in SQL and one high-level programming language (preferably python). - Has experience with one or more data orchestration, big data processing and transformation frameworks (for example: Airflow, DBT). - Has used one or more SQL stores and data warehouses (for example: Postgres, Snowflake). - Has experience with Docker and Kubernetes. - Familiarity with other related technologies (for example: NoSQL data stores, Pandas) would be a bonus. - Is resourceful and agile, remaining optimistic despite challenges. - Is empathetic to colleagues and users. - Looks forward to the excitement of working in a fast-paced environment with a small and skilled team.
