Position: Senior Data Engineer

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing and building the data pipelines that fuel our products and business operations. This role provides a unique opportunity to influence the architecture, tools, and services of our ETL processes while collaborating with a passionate team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement scalable, fault-tolerant, and precise ETL frameworks.
• Gather and process raw data at scale from diverse sources.
• Maintain a high level of data quality monitoring in our analytics processes.
• Provide technical leadership through code reviews and mentorship for junior team members.
• Contribute to agile team rituals and processes (stand-ups, grooming sessions, planning meetings).
• Identify high-value opportunities and guide their implementation.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer with expertise in implementing data pipelines and enhancing ETL processes.
• Experience with Cloud Platform Services (AWS, GCP, or Azure), preferably GCP.
• Strong skills in database design and working with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Proficiency in an alerting and monitoring culture.
• Experience in deploying applications using containers.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.
• Experience in building screen scrapers is a plus.

Bonus Points For:

• Building internal frameworks or development productivity tools.
• Application development experience.
• Experience with microservices architecture and handling large amounts of data.
• Experience in healthcare and working with PII.
• Practicing pair programming with other developers.
