Job Description As a member of the Business Intelligence team, the data engineer would be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing data infrastructure that addresses all aspects of data collection, storage, management, transformation, and access. The role aligns with our broader organizational data strategy, standards, principles, data sources, storage, pipelines, data flow and data security policies. This position also plays a pivotal role in digital transformation at IAG GBS, by leveraging the implementation of the AWS and Snowflake data cloud platform solutions. This role encompasses knowledge of database management in conjunction with software engineering skills. Responsibilities: Developing and maintaining a secure, scalable, high-performance, and reliable big data model and optimal data pipeline architecture that aligns with business requirements and the overall organizational data strategy Building the infrastructure necessary for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from different data sources using SQL and AWS big data and Snowflake data modeling technologies Communicating and defining data architecture patterns to guide the data framework within the organization Identifying, designing, and implementing internal process improvements by automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for scalability etc. Building analytics tools that leverage the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and other critical business performance metrics. Developing Tableau and Power BI dashboards Collaborating with stakeholders including Executives, Business stakeholders, and other BI team members to address their data-related technical issues, support their data infrastructure needs, and enhance the functionality of our data systems. Qualifications: A degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems or another quantitative field is preferred Advanced knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases Knowledge of algorithms and data structures Experience with ETL techniques and tools Knowledge of object-oriented scripting languages e.g. Python Experience with Power BI or other visualization tools will be highly desired Experience with AWS and other cloud storage and computing services: S3, AWS Lambda, AWS Glue, Redshift, Snowflake Experience in building and optimizing big data pipelines, architectures, and data sets Experience in building APIs and understanding various databases, data wrangling, and data processing techniques Experience in conducting root cause analysis on data and processes, answering specific business queries, and identifying opportunities for progress Strong analytical skills associated with working with unstructured datasets Additional Information What we offer: The opportunity to enjoy a versatile career in a fast-paced and dynamic industry The chance to operate within a multicultural framework with top-of-the-line offices globally.
