We're in search of a Senior Data Engineer with experience in Snowflake to work on a project for a well-known global company, a front-runner in delivering advanced logistical solutions. We're seeking individuals capable of optimizing the client's current infrastructure, to effectively handle any performance-related issues that may arise.

You may work 100% remotely if you're presently residing in LATAM, or you can always unite with us at our office!

What responsibilities will I have?

• Designing scalable and efficient Snowflake architecture and ETL processes.
• Implementing optimization techniques to improve query performance including clustering, partitioning, and cost-saving strategies.
• Evaluating and fine-tuning ETL process execution and Snowflake ingestion performance to streamline data workflows.
• Resolving performance issues throughout various ETL technologies, networks, Snowflake, and other systems.
• Supervising data loading processes to ensure alignment with data quality standards and compliance requirements.
• Providing necessary enterprise architecture support, including design reviews, strategic planning, and assessments.
• Facilitate team coordination, manage project timelines and schedule meetings to assure effective cross-team collaboration.

What skills do I need?

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related area.
• A successful track record in data engineering with a strong focus on Snowflake.
• Deep knowledge of Snowflake architecture, performance optimization, security, and cost management.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Experience with tools like Airbyte, Azure Data Factory, Matillion, Fivetran, HVR, Stitch.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP are an advantage.
• Snowflake certifications are a plus.
• Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills, coupled with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the competence to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

What languages should I know?

Exemplary written and spoken English for clear and effective communication is a necessity!

How experienced should I be?

We're searching for someone with over 8 years of experience as a Data Engineer, and with demonstrated hands-on experience working with Snowflake.
