Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Senior Data Engineer at ORFIUM, you will:

• Enhance Data Platform: Develop and maintain our Data Platform using AWS Services, Python, and IaaC tools.
• Design Big Data Solutions: Implement Big Data solutions, particularly utilizing Snowflake offerings.
• Support Data Architecture: Optimize Big Data Models and data strategies, guiding various teams.
• Uphold Data Governance: Establish and enforce Data Platform and Governance standards.
• Stay Updated: Keep abreast with the latest trends in Big Data and Data Engineering tools.
• Utilize Leading Tools: Work with DBT, Airbyte, Airflow, and Snowflake to enhance our data processes.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• At least 3 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer.
• Hands-on experience with Warehouse databases like Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, and Databricks.
• Proficiency with Data Engineering tools like DBT and Airflow.
• Experience with Cloud Providers such as AWS and GCP.
• Capability to work effectively with analytical, operational, and engineering teams.

Extra points for:

• Experience with Data Replication methods and Streaming technologies (Kafka, Apache Flink, etc.).
• Understanding of Data Mesh principles in data platform design.
• Familiarity with data visualization and BI tools like Tableau and Metabase.
• Hands-on experience with core AWS services like ECS, S3, EC2, EKS, and VPC.
• BSc/BA in Computer Science, Data Science, or a relevant field.
