As a crucial part of our client's data division, the Senior Data Programmer plays an essential role in the success of their data projects and programs. Balancing both strategy and implementation, this position is perfect for a dynamic leader who thrives on managing complicated data initiatives and promoting cross-department collaboration. Major Responsibilities - Assist the Data Head in establishing strategic program and project goals and ensure their alignment with the organization's general data vision. - Coordinate several data projects at once, ensuring schedules are adhered to and stakeholders are informed. - Serve as a central contact point in stakeholder management, promoting effective communication between technical and non-technical groups. - Collaborate with product owners and senior business leaders to comprehend project specifications and convey them to the appropriate teams. - Ensure effective resource allocation across projects. - Measure program and project performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the fruition of short and long-term aims. - Develop and oversee program and project budgets. - Act as the main point of contact for project status updates, issues, escalations, and risk mitigation strategies. - Strive to improve existing procedures and establish new ones to increase team efficiency and effectiveness. - Ensure all program projects are of high quality, delivered on schedule, and within budget. - Mentor and guide team members, promoting a culture of ongoing learning and improvement. - Manage vendor relationships and third-party services. Requirements - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field preferred. - At least 5 years of comprehensive experience in data-related roles with a solid understanding of data technologies such as SQL, Big Data platforms, and Cloud Services. - Proven experience in program and project management, preferably in data-driven environments. - Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. - Experience with program management methodologies and techniques like PRINCE2, PMP, and Agile. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels. - Ability to think critically and strategically, anticipating potential challenges and proactively devising solutions. - Demonstrable ability to lead teams and drive projects to completion.
