Position Overview: Senior Data Scientist

As a Senior Data Scientist at GlobalFoundries, you will play a crucial role within our Data Science team. Reporting to the Lead Data Scientist, you will support analytics technical requirements, develop best practices in analytics use case deployment, and collaborate with AI vendors. Your work will directly contribute to building scalable data solutions that produce tangible value across the enterprise.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to translate business needs into robust analytical solutions.
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of data pipelines to support scalable predictive analytics models.
• Perform exploratory data analysis, generate compelling visualizations, and identify effective machine learning or statistical methods suitable for specific challenges.
• Contribute to model deployment in production and ongoing performance monitoring to prevent degradation.
• Communicate the benefits of analytical solutions to leadership and enhance the understanding and application of analytics within the company.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Maintain a safe and responsible work environment by adhering to all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security protocols.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Engineering.
• At least 7 years of experience in the analytics field with a proven track record of innovative solutions.
• Proficiency in data science techniques and tools (R, Python, SAS), with a focus on business model creation and data visualization.
• Strong communication skills and a proven ability to lead interdisciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Data Science or a related field.
