Job Details

Essential Functions

• Exploring relevant data sources and generating business insights by developing and transforming data into actionable insights.
• Building, designing, and developing robust data models and analytical tools/solutions.
• Documenting data transformation logic for other analysts to follow.
• Developing scalable and repeatable data transformation processes.
• Collaborating with other data scientists and business analysts to ensure proper utilization of transformed data.
• Ensuring data quality and reconciliation checks are transparent and consistent.
• Utilizing strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in writing and understanding complex SAS codes.
• Extensive experience with SAS macros, procedures, and functions.
• Experience with data mining tools like SAS/Anaconda; SAS Viya experience preferred.
• Expertise in transforming business specifications into detailed SAS processes.
• Ability to develop and refine complex SAS scripts, macros, and procedures.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Understanding of BI methodologies and practices.
• Experience with systems integration and modeling.
• Knowledge of Data Governance and DQ frameworks is a plus.
• Background in data management within the Banking/Finance industry preferred.
• Experience with ETL and data modeling tools is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to self-manage and multitask in dynamic environments.
• Effective time management and organizational skills.
• A bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or Operational Research.
• Working knowledge of Tableau is a plus.
• 8+ years of experience in analytics and/or business intelligence.
