Get to Know the Team Grab's Fulfilment Team serves as a universal platform tech family with the aim of enhancing fulfilment capabilities for all Grab businesses in a platform-based manner, providing them with solutions to connect our driver partners with Grab customers and create a highly reliable, cost-efficient, and fast transportation and logistics platform. The Fulfilment Product Analytics Team pushes product innovation through analytics and experimentation best practices. We roll out numerous features, which involves tuning models, evaluating changes, and running experiments to drive better outcomes for our driver-partners and millions of customers across South East Asia. We are seeking a passionate data scientist to join our expanding team. Get to Know the Role Your role will be to assist product teams in being more data-informed and objective, provide guidance for the design of controlled experiments, and influence the direction of our product roadmap with data. You will collaborate with product managers, engineers, designers, and business stakeholders across the company, recommending how to learn from unexpected results, study the root causes, and iterate on the next set of products to build for our users. The Day-to-Day Activities - Be an industry subject matter expert in using data to measure and analyse business/product performance in each of our markets and business lines. - Lead the exploration of business/product issues/opportunities, uncover insights and/or identify targeted areas for growth. - Collaborate closely with the broader product and engineering team to design and analyse experiments that drive key product decisions. - Localize, tune in-production models to new cities/markets to enable product velocity. - Lead expert teams to rollout effective products/services and to expand Grab's universe of data for building richer insights. - Provide thought leadership and generate data-driven hypotheses to solve key product/business problems. - Develop mixed-effect, causal inference models to understand interaction effects or product configurations that are performing suboptimally. - Build and manage anomaly detection systems to intelligently alert about slow-moving changes or sudden anomalies in product or system metrics. - Develop analytics tools to help data teams and other disciplines be more effective at debugging, data summarization and analysis of results. The Must-Haves - You embody Heart, Hunger, Honour, and Humility. - You hold a bachelor’s/master’s degree, preferably in Analytics, Statistics, Software, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or Engineering. - You are proficient in SQL, Presto, ETL, Power BI, Tableau, Python, and Excel. - You possess good analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, and analyse a significant amount of information with attention to detail and accuracy. - You have a solid understanding of data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques. - You are a self-motivated and independent learner who can manage time efficiently in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. - You have a proven track record in crafting analytics.
