The Role:

As a Senior Data Scientist at Big Viking Games, you will play a crucial role in transforming complex data sets into actionable insights. These insights will inform new feature development, game mechanics optimization, and player experience personalization. Collaborating closely with our product and user experience teams, you will help us exceed player expectations and create engaging gaming environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement efficient data pipelines and ETL processes alongside engineering teams.
• Develop and maintain advanced data models and facilitate multidimensional analysis and reporting.
• Utilize SQL, Snowflake/Google Big Query, and Python for data manipulation and analysis.
• Apply machine learning techniques to predict user behavior and enhance player engagement.
• Ensure data governance and privacy compliance while maintaining high data quality standards.
• Create interactive dashboards and reports to monitor critical metrics using tools like Tableau and Power BI.
• Analyze player data to optimize freemium game mechanics and monetization strategies.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a relevant field, with a preference for candidates with 5+ years.
• Expertise in SQL, relational databases (preferably Snowflake), and programming languages for data analysis.
• Strong background in data visualization, data modeling, and data warehousing principles.
• Familiarity with freemium business models, virtual economies, and game design principles.
• Proficiency in implementing and interpreting machine learning models.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, and the ability to present complex data in an accessible manner.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms like AWS is beneficial.
