Exciting Roles and Responsibilities

As a vital member of the COO Analytics Tribe, you'll dive into the world of advanced analytics and generative AI solutions, specifically focusing on the Global Financial Crime domain. Our team utilizes both traditional ML models and cutting-edge Gen AI to combat and mitigate financial crimes, enhancing the safety and compliance of our bank. Your collaboration will extend across an interdisciplinary team of more than two dozen professionals, committed to innovation across various ING operating countries.

Your core responsibilities will include crafting innovative scalable solutions in the "Know Your Customer" and Customer Due Diligence spheres. You will also collaborate closely with both globally and locally stationed KYC units to ideate and develop these solutions, ensuring their successful implementation across ING by liaising with technical teams.

You will be instrumental in designing and implementing these technologies, maintaining our advanced frameworks, and mentoring on data science principles.

Your Technical Expertise

• Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Computer Science, preferably with a specialization in NLP, IR, or Machine Learning.
• At least 3 years of experience in designing NLP or IR models.
• Experience with technologies like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and operationalizing LLMs or Gen AI applications.
• Strong programming prowess in Python and a sound understanding of SQL.

Experience in a banking domain, familiarity with Agile Scrum, and knowledge of DevOps practices including CI/CD would be advantageous.
