Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will:

• Collaborate with the Food & Beverage product team to utilize descriptive and predictive analytics, influencing pivotal decisions.
• Develop key metrics and KPIs using business intelligence tools like Looker and Amplitude to gauge business health.
• Work alongside the engineering team to craft high-quality product event logs.
• Apply a mixture of statistical analysis, quantitative reasoning, and machine learning to generate actionable insights.
• Coordinate closely with various stakeholders to prioritize tasks effectively, maximizing impact on strategic decisions.
• Present complex analysis and strategic advice to senior partners and executives through multiple mediums.
• Enhance data accessibility and self-service capabilities, amplifying the impact of your data expertise across the company.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have:

• Over 5 years of experience in analytics and data science.
• Proven ability in utilizing data to influence product decisions and strategies.
• Experience in leading cross-functional projects and collaborating with multiple disciplines.
• Adeptness in statistical and machine-learning methodologies with a practical application mindset.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python; experience with visualization technologies such as Looker and Amplitude.

Compensation Details:

Block implements a market-based salary approach. Remuneration varies by location and is aligned with a cost of labor index divided into four zones:

• Zone A: USD $142,000 - USD $213,000
• Zone B: USD $134,900 - USD $202,300
• Zone C: USD $127,800 - USD $191,600
• Zone D: USD $120,700 - USD $181,100
