Senior Data Scientist Opportunity at Signifyd in Hungary

Join our Data Science team to craft cutting-edge machine learning models that are at the heart of Signifyd's products. We support businesses of all sizes to minimize fraud exposure and boost sales, while also enhancing the e-commerce experience by reducing incorrectly declined orders and making account hijacking less profitable for criminals.

The team holds end-to-end ownership of our decisioning engine that spans research, development, online performance, and risk management. We're a collaborative team that thrives on mutual support and skill development through peer review, group study sessions, and frequent knowledge-sharing initiatives.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Build production machine learning models that excel in fraud detection
• Write robust production and offline analytical code in Python
• Work with distributed data pipelines
• Translate complex ideas for varied audiences
• Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance our machine learning platform

Essential Experience

• A degree in computer science or a comparable analytical field
• Over 6 years of professional experience post-undergrad
• Experience building production ML models
• Expertise in using visualizations to communicate analytics
• Hands-on statistical analysis with a solid foundational understanding
• Proficient coding and code review skills, preferably in Python
• Practical SQL knowledge
• Experience designing experiments and data collection
• Familiarity with the Linux command line

Bonus Points For

• Previous work in fraud, payments, or e-commerce
• Experience in data analysis within distributed environments
• Passion for writing well-tested, production-grade code
• A Master's Degree or PhD
