We're currently looking for a passionate Senior Data Scientist (m/f/d) to join our Pricing and Allocation team, helping to drive operational excellence and make smart decisions that impact our daily operations.

Your Role as a Senior Data Scientist

As a vital part of our team, you'll tackle complex optimization and allocation problems within the fast-paced urban mobility sector:

• Develop state-of-the-art deep learning models focusing on dynamic pricing and resource distribution.
• Collaborate closely with machine learning engineers to bring sophisticated models to production.
• Participate in problem-solving with peers and business stakeholders to boost operational strategies.
• Lead by example in data science best practices and mentorship within the team.
• Present innovative work at key company events, contributing to the internal and external growth of FREE NOW’s data science prowess.

What We Expect

Successful candidates will bring:

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in data science focused on operations research and optimization.
• Expertise in dynamic pricing, resource allocation, and advanced statistical analysis techniques.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL with a commitment to writing clean, reproducible code.
• A collaborative spirit, keen on learning and sharing knowledge.
• An advanced degree in Maths, Physics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or another quantitative field. Exceptional candidates without these degrees will also be considered.

Preferred Additional Skills

Experience with Spark, Airflow, Databricks, Metabase, Hive, Presto, MLflow is advantageous but not essential.

About the Role

This position is open to candidates in Berlin, Hamburg, London, or Athens, with flexibility on relocation. The role may involve some travel to coordinate with our internationally distributed team.
