We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Senior Data Scientist to join our rapidly expanding team. This role within our Tech organization offers a chance to collaborate with skilled data scientists, software engineers, product managers, and designers. Together, you will develop cutting-edge Machine Learning technologies that simplify user experiences and take on significant projects involving large data volumes, feature development, and process enhancement in an engineering environment devoted to scale, quality, delivery, and superior customer experiences.

Position Requirements:

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Machine Learning or Statistical Analysis
• Proven ability in writing advanced machine learning code with Python
• High degree of autonomy and creative problem-solving skills
• Excellent collaboration skills across engineering functions

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Experience in high-traffic environments, particularly in startups or SaaS
• Proficiency in text modeling, NLP, and large language models
• Strong interest in search technologies and the sectors of journalism, news, media, or social media

Role Responsibilities:

• Analyzing data to guide decision-making among team members
• Researching and implementing new analytical methods and solutions
• Designing, testing, and deploying machine learning models
• Developing tools to enhance data science scalability and impact
• Presenting analytic outcomes to various stakeholders effectively

Interview Process:

• 30-minute initial interview with our Talent Team
• 1-hour Zoom interview with the hiring manager
• Take-home coding test (up to 2 hours)
• Peer interviews, including a 30-minute code review discussion
• Final discussions with our executive team members

Compensation and Benefits:

Offering a competitive salary ranging from $140,000 - $172,000, based on experience and skills. Our compensation philosophy is geo-neutral within the US.
