Job Description

Develop Power BI reports driven by Python to provide business intelligence and recommendations to enhance decision-making. You are expected to lead a full project cycle, from gathering business requirements, understanding data sources, to implementing the project in production.

Your key responsibilities 

• Design, maintain and deploy Power BI dashboards.
• Train stakeholders and users on how to utilize these reports.
• Extract, reformat and load data from various data sources using Python. A firm understanding of data modelling is crucial.
• Perform data modelling using Python across different data sources (joins, merging, designing the correct data model).
• Transform the organization from responsive to proactive by introducing business outcome forecasting using predictive analytics.
• Arrange automated scheduling of Python scripts to process data from the data warehouse without any manual intervention.
• Cooperate with various stakeholders to collect and comprehend the business requirements of a specific project.
• Collaborate with the Group Analytics team and other teams to access data from various sources.
• Analyze and interpret data so that stakeholders and users can easily comprehend it.
• Implement row-level security in your Power BI report to secure your stakeholders’ data.
• Present your Power BI report to your colleagues and manager to gather ideas or suggestions on how to visualize your report for your stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of hands-on data analysis experience, Power BI report visualization (certification is a plus), and Python.
• University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or another quantitative degree.
• Proficiency in MS Power BI (DAX, Power Query, Data engineering).
• At least intermediate knowledge of MS SQL Server, and a solid understanding of data/feature engineering.
• Excellent proficiency in Python is mandatory with a sound understanding of the following packages: pandas, sklearn, numpy, seaborn.
• Deep understanding of statistics and machine learning, ideally with hands-on experience in end-to-end development (regression, classification, black-box models, NLP).
• Prior data science consulting experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in Git Terminal/GUI & source code repository hosting services (e.g., Bitbucket).
• Data Visualization Portfolio (preferably with machine learning).
• MS Power Platform or Fabric/Azure experience is preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly and translate technical concepts into layman’s terms, understanding what communication style is required for both internal and external parties.
• Eagerness to find solutions in large data sets and collaborate with stakeholders to enhance and creatively engineer desired business outcomes. Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on product and service development.
• Desire to learn and master new technologies and techniques. Does not settle for the minimum, but continuously seeks answers to challenges to find sustainable and scalable solutions.
