Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Data Onboarding Engineer to join our team in Chennai. As a Data Onboarding Engineer, you will collaborate directly with customers' data teams to integrate and streamline ETL processes, playing a critical role in successful customer onboarding projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead major data onboarding initiatives with new customers, pilots, and POCs.
• Collaborate with customers' data teams on data interfaces, specifications, and integration projects.
• Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes from various data streams using methods such as Blob, Kafka, SFTP, SQL connectors, and REST API.
• Perform data validation activities, normalize datasets, and resolve data-related issues.
• Create data queries and extractions for customer success managers and Customer Value teams.
• Manage complex data extraction tasks to answer business queries, generate ad-hoc reports, and respond to customer inquiries.
• Engage with R&D teams and play an active role in the development lifecycle and design sessions.
• Serve as the data expert in the customer success group, providing support to both customers and internal teams including Technical Support, Solutions Engineers, and Business Analysts.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in data onboarding and big data.
• BA/B.Sc. in Information Systems, Statistics, Math, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
• Proven hands-on experience in developing and maintaining ETL/ELT, preferably using Talend.
• Strong SQL skills with experience in querying large and complex datasets.
• Experience working with relational and non-relational databases to derive meaningful insights from data.
• At least 2 years of experience in a client-facing role, with strong project management skills, and the ability to handle customer expectations and deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, result-oriented, pragmatic, and innovative.
• Proficiency in Python, with experience using pandas and numpy.
• Experience with Business Intelligence tools like Looker, QlikView, Tableau, or Power BI is an advantage.
