Senior Engineer - Python, Snowflake cloud database, Chennai-India

Responsibilities

• Capability to write complex code for the creation of scalable, flexible, and user-friendly applications
• Create code to enhance responsiveness & overall performance
• Carry out analysis and development tasks of increasingly complex nature that may necessitate extensive research and analysis
• Evaluate technologies we can use, including Python frameworks, libraries, and tools
• Ensure the maintainability and quality of code. Produce application code and unit test cases
• Cooperate with Agile cross-functional teams
• Experience with configuration management tools (GIT), configuration concepts, and continuous integration tools (Jenkins / Bamboo)

Qualifications

A person passionate about coding, shows eagerness to learn, can adapt to changing needs and is autonomous. They should have excellent analytical, problem-solving & communication skills. Capable of thriving in a team setting and work with multiple stakeholders to build top-tier applications.

• A Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
• 5+ years of software development experience using Python programming
• Good grasp of Python frameworks & libraries. Experience in Azure cloud is necessary
• Experience in Snowflake or other data warehouse systems is necessary
• Understanding of Java programming language is preferable
• Ability to write performance-oriented code. Good understanding of SQL & PL/SQL concepts
• Experience working on transformation projects will be an added advantage
• Experience using tools like JIRA, Bit Bucket, Artifactory, Confluence, etc.
• Experience in agile software development practices and DevOps
