These professionals are responsible for driving innovation, ideating new products, developing complex analyses, and delivering insights into the purchase behavior of consumers.

  • Take ownership of Data Science solutions for client inquiries and provide initial recommendations for complex client issues.
  • Help Internal and External Clients understand Data Science design and methodology.
  • Assist senior leaders in understanding client business needs and propose innovative solutions during meetings.
  • Develop new solution use cases, proof of concept and prototypes by exploring diverse data sets with tools like Python/R.
  • Know Nielsen products and services to suggest newly crafted solutions for client troubles.
  • Cooperate with different units within the Data Science team.
  • Automate and refine solutions for existing processes.
  • Innovate and think outside the box to create solutions by using vast and diverse data sets and cutting-edge technologies.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should have degrees in Maths, Data Science, Statistics, or similar fields requiring statistical analysis of large data sets.
  • Experience of at least 2 years in market research, data science operations, data analytics, or relevant field.
  • A solid grasp of the Consumer Goods and Retail industries and their impact on a client's business within the market.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and R.
  • Prior experience with data visualization tools (for example, Spotfire, Tableau) and mapping tools.
  • Understanding of Statistics, Strong inclination toward data analysis
  • A passion for innovation and technology.
  • Experience in proactively connecting with stakeholders and clients, emphasizing the link between client needs and the business.
  • Ability to effectively explain complex concepts to those without expertise in the field.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, an innovative mindset, creativity, and out-of-the-box thinking.
  • Well-developed communication skills and the ability to interact at all levels.
  • Business acumen, consultative skills, and empathy toward clients.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Eagerness to constantly learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
  • Good decision-making ability, and can efficiently manage multiple tasks at once in a high-pressure environment.
  • Analytical and tech skills, with a strong critical/logical thought process.
