Your Role: Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Summary

We are on the lookout for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to spearhead AI development and lead our engineering scrum teams. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Data Science, Data Engineering, and Software Engineering. Responsibilities and Core Tasks

As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at SAP, your responsibilities will include:

• Driving the development lifecycle of AI services from Data Science Proof-of-Concept (PoC) to productization and production operations.
• Setting up and developing new Big Data pipelines for AI services.
• Creating AI/ML models to solve real-world business problems.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to leverage company data for business solutions.
• Implementing CI/CD pipelines, deployment, and MLOps for AI PoCs.
• Leading and mentoring junior team members in AI engineering practices.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should bring:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical fields.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language like Python or Java.
• In-depth understanding of Distributed Computing Systems for Big Data Engineering, such as Databricks (PySpark/Scala).
• Expertise in AI/ML concepts and extensive experience with frameworks such as Keras, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Langchain, OpenAI, Huggingface.
• Solid experience with general software engineering best practices and scrum methodologies.
• Familiarity with productization tools and technologies like Docker, K8s, GitHub, VSCode, Linux.
• Experience with CI/CD and ML Ops frameworks such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, MLFlow.
• Expertise in cloud deployment offerings like Azure ML, Databricks, AKS, Event Hubs, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions or similar in AWS/GCP.
• Proven leadership in scrum team environments.
• Curiosity and eagerness to learn about diverse AI applications and emerging technologies.
• Excellent proficiency in English and a collaborative mindset.
• Understanding of SAP AI offerings and Agile methodologies is a plus.
