Position Overview: Senior Machine Learning Engineer

We're searching for a Senior ML Engineer ready to contribute to our product expansion at PackageX. Ideal candidates will possess deep expertise in programming combined with substantial knowledge in data science, big data, and software engineering. This role is designed for individuals eager to leverage their full potential to drive significant impact within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop scalable and highly performant software to enhance our data analytics platform, enriching its reporting and analytics functionalities.
• Create robust frameworks and services that support our Machine Learning systems and dashboards.
• Collaborate with business users and other technical teams within the organization.
• Adhere to coding best practices including unit testing, code reviews, documentation, etc.
• Design and implement internal process improvements by automating tasks and optimizing data structures and infrastructure for better scalability.
• Develop tools that analyze data pipelines to derive actionable insights into customer growth, operational improvements, and other crucial business metrics.
• Address bug fixes and enhancement requests promptly, with minimal supervision.
• Implement and adapt data models in conjunction and consultation with data scientists.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Solid experience in computer vision and proficiency with OpenCV.
• Experience with NLP and familiarity with ML packages and frameworks such as spaCy, NLTK, SciPy, etc.
• Knowledge of speech recognition, text processing, extracting and classifying features, text embedding, and sequence modeling.
• Proficiency in deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow, Keras, or PyTorch is essential.
• Strong background in Python, with additional skills in JavaScript and SQL being advantageous.
• Expertise in handling large datasets, including data cleansing, augmentation, and management.
• Familiarity with Linux environments.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, organizational, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
