The Role: Senior Machine Learning Engineer (LLM) - Data Intelligence

WorldQuant is seeking an exceptional Senior Machine Learning Engineer (LLM) focusing on Data Intelligence. Though prior finance experience is not required, the ideal candidate must have a keen interest in learning about finance and global markets. You will design, code, test, and implement proprietary Machine Learning systems and tools to advance our business strategies. This role involves collaborating with other teams to gather, analyze, and specify requirements, develop and test code, and manage product deliverables.

What You’ll Bring

• Experience with large language models such as OpenAI's GPT-4 and embedding models, alongside other NLP technologies.
• Experience in Agent development using technologies like Langchain or Huggingface.
• Practical experience with AI/ML platforms such as Vertex AI.
• Knowledge of vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Milvus, Faiss) is a significant advantage.
• Strong background in Machine Learning and Data Science.
• Familiarity with Python and common data libraries (Pandas, Numpy, etc.).
• Knowledge of cloud environments, preferably GCP.
• Eagerness to learn about new business areas and technologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills combined with clear and concise communication.
