Senior Machine Learning Engineer - Recommendations

Course Hero is expanding! We are in search of a Senior ML Engineer who specializes in recommendation systems and is eager to tackle complex projects related to personalized content delivery. Your role will include refining our end-to-end platform to scale ML experiments, deploying ML microservices, and managing data and recommendation pipelines. Joining Course Hero's Machine Learning Engineering team, you'll contribute significantly across the company. You'll be responsible for executing major projects and contributing to the ongoing enhancement of our software systems. Moreover, you'll work collaboratively to launch ML products that tailor learning experiences for students and enable educators to generate unique course content. The scalable ML solutions you develop will allow our product designers to introduce intelligent data products into the Course Hero platform. Here are some ways you'll make an impact: - Be a self-motivated, bold thinker and creator of scalable end-to-end ML systems and embrace full stack data science. - Rapidly build prototypes/web apps to test multiple versions of traditional and advanced ML techniques for recommendations, for the best content and product recommendations for our customers. - Architect, develop, and maintain a scalable platform for training, deploying, and monitoring ML models, microservices, and APIs in modern containerized cloud environments. - Automate various steps in the ML workflow from model training, inference, to deployment. - Collaborate with other ML engineers, data scientists, data engineers, and product engineering teams to understand business needs, find the right solution to a problem, and launch products. Are you our Senior ML Engineer? - You have 5+ years of industry experience in applied machine learning, focusing on building solutions for recommendation systems. - You have 3+ years of experience writing production Python code. - You understand the basics of collaborative filtering, matrix factorization, A/B test analysis, and diversity in Recommendations. - Demonstrated knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases, RESTful APIs, and docker-containerized microservice-based architectures. - Experience with the AWS ecosystem including ML frameworks like Athena, S3, EMR Spark, Sagemaker, Tensorflow, or Pytorch. - Experience with Docker, Kubernetes or similar orchestration and configuration management tools. Bonus Points: - Experience working with LLMs in developing and deploying generative AI solutions in a production environment. - Graduate degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics or related fields. - Passionate about education.
