Role Overview: Senior Machine Learning Ops Engineer (m/f/d)

As a Senior Machine Learning Ops Engineer, you'll be pivotal in shaping the future of Machine Learning at Flink. Your role will involve working in a dynamic, cross-functional team of Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and Platform Engineers to innovate and optimize our machine learning ecosystem. Using a state-of-the-art tech stack including GCP, Airflow, Git, MLFlow, Kubernetes, and KServe, you’ll drive seamless training, efficient serving, and scalable deployment of ML models.

Your work will power intelligent recommendations that enhance user experiences throughout Flink’s app and marketing campaigns, directly improving the grocery shopping experience for our customers and making a significant impact on the business.

Key Responsibilities

Lifecycle Management: Automate processes required for the lifecycle management of ML models, including training, testing, monitoring, and deployment.

Real-time Predictions: Develop and scale internal services that deliver real-time predictions to Flink’s recommendation engines, influencing the consumer-facing app directly.

Leadership Role: Assist in the development and maintenance of Flink’s Data Products, collaborating closely with Data and Platform teams, and internal customers to implement the best solutions.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience designing, developing, and deploying Machine Learning products.
• Previous experience with architectural input in Data/Machine Learning product design and build.
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with commonly used Machine Learning libraries.
• Skilled in provisioning, configuring, deploying, scaling, and monitoring infrastructure for ML/Data products in a public cloud environment.
• Experience with ML platforms such as MLflow, Kserve, and Feast.
• Comfortable translating Data Scientists' needs into practical solutions in collaboration with Data and Platform Engineers.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and IaC (Infrastructure-as-Code) tools.
• Open-minded and comfortable working in a collaborative Agile environment.
