POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager of Data Analysts to join our team and play a crucial role in advancing our clinical research efforts by overseeing the data retrieval, cleaning, analysis, de-identification, and delivery. The Senior Manager, Data Analysis will be responsible for leading a team of skilled data analysts and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including researchers, medical directors, bioinformaticians, biostatisticians & data scientists, to support evidence-based decision-making and the development of innovative healthcare solutions. Your expertise in clinical data analysis and strong leadership will be essential in driving the success of our clinical research initiatives.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Team Leadership:
- Lead, recruit, train, and mentor a team of clinical data analysts.
- Set clear performance expectations and provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities.
- Foster a collaborative and data-driven culture within the team.
Clinical Data Management:
- Oversee the collection, cleaning, and storage of clinical data from various sources, ensuring data integrity and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement data management and governance protocols and best practices.
Reporting and Visualization:
- Create clear and concise reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Present data-driven insights to support decision-making and strategic planning.
Quality Assurance:
- Implement quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and secure delivery of clinical data.
- Monitor data analysis processes and identify areas for improvement.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay current with relevant regulations and standards in clinical research and data analysis.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
Project Management:
- Manage multiple clinical data analysis projects concurrently, ensuring timely delivery and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with program managers to align data analysis efforts with project goals.
Continuous Learning and Innovation:
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in clinical data analysis and healthcare.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and innovation in data analysis methodologies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree in a related field (e.g., Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science).
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in clinical data analysis or a related role preferably in a healthcare or pharmaceutical setting.
- Knowledge of clinical research methodologies and regulatory requirements, such as HIPAA and FDA guidelines.
- Experience with healthcare data, electronic health records (EHR), and clinical terminology is a plus.
- Functional understanding of next-gen sequencing workflows.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R).
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (e.g., R, SAS) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Quick Sight).
- Strong SQL skills for querying and retrieving data from complex data sources in a structured format.
- Proficient in aggregating data, preparing, cleaning data and data mining using SQL and Python.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
