Job Summary:

Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a dedicated Senior Performance Data Analyst to join our Nursing Quality Department. Under the direction of Directors and/or Managers in the Organizational Performance Improvement (OPI) Department, you will be responsible for the following:

• Abstracting data from the electronic medical record.
• Submitting data to state and national databases.
• Auditing paper and electronic medical records and processes for compliance with internal initiatives and regulatory standards.
• Providing detailed analyses of clinical and programmatic data.
• Recommending and facilitating process improvements.
• Managing the occurrence reporting system and analyzing safety data for trends and improvement opportunities.
• Offering administrative support for quality improvement committees and projects.
• Handling office management and clerical duties.

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:

Candidates must meet one of the following educational and experience criteria:

• Bachelor’s degree with at least one (1) year of full-time data analysis or quality assurance experience.
• Associate’s degree with at least three (3) years of full-time data analysis or quality assurance experience.
• High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma with at least five (5) years of full-time data analysis or quality assurance experience.

Note: Required degrees must be awarded by an accredited institution recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ideal candidates will have:

• Prior data analysis/collection experience.
• Proficiency in transforming data into graphs and charts using Excel.
• Relevant experience in healthcare quality.
• Experience analyzing safety data for trends and implementing process improvements.
• Experience supporting committees and administrative meetings.
