About Your New Role:

Your main objective as a Senior Principal Data Product Management - Data Modeler at GSK will be to lead the design and implementation of enterprise-level and application-specific data modeling. This strategic role is central to our efforts to enable cutting-edge data and AI solutions via our Modern Data Platform on the cloud. You will be overseeing our established data model governance service, the Common Data Framework (CDF).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setting standards and guidelines for data model governance.
  • Leading the CDF service to ensure compliance, scalability, and performance of data models.
  • Working closely with data product teams to facilitate and resolve dependencies.
  • Engaging in PI planning meetings to spotlight dependencies communicated by data product teams.
  • Collaborating with the Data Governance team on data cataloging and maintaining metadata while implementing enterprise data standards.
  • Providing strategic consultation to business units and architectural teams on key digital transformation projects and process enhancements.
  • Ensuring maintenance standards for data models and managing the model repository.
  • Partnering with the Architecture team to uphold data security and storage standards.
  • Driving continuous improvements in the CDF service effectiveness.

What You Will Need:

  • At least 15 years of practical experience in data modeling (conceptual, logical, and physical) within the data and analytics arena.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience leading a team of data architects and/or modelers.
  • Proven track record in deploying data models on Microsoft Azure and expertise in Databricks Lakehouse architecture.
  • Proficiency in data modeling tools such as Erwin, with a solid grasp of model maintenance and governance.
  • Excellent skills in communication, organization, and stakeholder management.
