About the Data Platform Team at Rapid7

Our Data Platform team is central to providing Rapid7 stakeholders with credible, democratized, and integrated data solutions. These solutions help gain insights and scale our business effectively. The Product Analytics function is integral to this, supporting with robust analytical tooling, high-quality data models, and actionable metrics that empower our team members to make informed, data-driven decisions.

Role Overview: What You'll Do as a Senior Product Data Analyst

As part of our expanding Product Analytics team, you'll play a pivotal role in accelerating our business in partnership with our product teams. You will lead strategic analytics projects, manage end-to-end processes from requirements definition to data modeling and visualization. Your expertise will help in defining successful analytics outcomes and delivering action-oriented dashboards to support strategic initiatives.

In addition, you’ll:

  • Collaborate with team members and business partners to collect and analyze business requirements.
  • Partner with the data team on data quality and governance initiatives.
  • Drive engagement with our analytics community by sharing best practices and creating valuable enablement materials.
  • Assist in onboarding users and support developers across Rapid7 with administration tasks in Tableau.

Skills and Experience Needed

We're looking for someone with:

  • Strong working knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tooling, preferably Tableau.
  • At least 5 years of experience in data-focused roles, ideally within the cybersecurity or SaaS sectors.
  • A bachelor's degree in Analytics, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent organizational skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and projects independently.
