Senior Product Manager, Data Products and Storage

As a Senior Product Manager on the Data Products and Storage team, you'll be part of the Data Consumption Tooling Team. Our goal is to provide our Data Consumers (Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and Engineers) with the necessary tools to make use of available data on Enterprise Data platforms. We aim to unlock data insights and value for our customers by providing efficient tools and an integrated environment for seamless work.
In this role, you'll be responsible for representing the needs of data consumers, informing the Snowflake platform and supporting tool's roadmap to ensure alignment with business outcomes. Job essentials include user provisioning, access management, warehouse management, and compute optimization. You must be passionate about technology, empathetic to customer needs, and comfortable discussing details with engineering teams and stakeholders across different roles and levels.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Developing and communicating the product vision and strategy.
- Understanding the needs of Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and Engineers.
- Prioritizing the Product Backlog to maximize business and customer outcomes.
- Incorporating design thinking and analytics in product design.
- Facilitating communication between teams.
- Maintaining a healthy backlog of work and participating in agile ceremonies.
- Resolving and escalating issues.
- Acting as a link between customers, Capital One’s mission, and your team.
Ideal candidates should be passionate about product development, empathetic to customers, have knowledge in data warehousing, and data analysis. Candidates with experience in Agile environments, strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and leadership are highly preferred.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
- At least 5 years of experience in product management (alternatively, experience in product design, agile delivery, business analysis, data science, or software engineering)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
- MBA or Master’s degree
- 3+ years of experience in Agile product management
- 2 years of experience leading product manager teams
