Your Role in Our Mission

Data Analyst Job Description

As a Senior Professional Data Analyst, you will be responsible for performing research and requirement analysis, creating and designing mapping documents, and presenting findings to appropriate team members, clients, and vendors. You will determine best practices and provide suggestions on improving current practices.

  • QNXT/Schema or Facet Experience.
  • Data Mapping Experience.
  • Healthcare/business knowledge in member eligibility, TPL, claims processing, provider, pharmacy claims.
  • Excellent Oral/Written Communication Skills.
  • Strong SQL Skills.
  • Conversion/Interface/Reporting Experience.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have the ability to develop program specifications and mapping documents, perform data analysis to understand transformation requirements, and work with ETL/Reporting/Conversion staff to ensure the code developed meets documented business requirements. Additionally, you will be responsible for testing the interface/report to ensure all requirements are met and collaborating with team members.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create accurate mapping documents according to the mapping process.
  • Rapidly deliver the first draft solution to ETL/Reporting/Conversion for coding by identifying details that can be deferred.
  • Support DSD creation and response.
  • Present analysis and design recommendations to lead MITA teams, customers, and/or vendors.
  • Support ETL/Reporting/Conversion developers based on created mappings.
  • Collaborate with the configuration team and DBAs to ensure synchronization of configuration to interfaces and mappings.
  • Refine mapping documents with additional details as questions are resolved.
  • Use SQL, data models, data element dictionary, and schema to perform data and business analysis.
  • Create unit test cases for areas of responsibility.
  • Validate test plan results that satisfy detailed design goals.
  • Update technical specifications and mappings.
  • Support Unit Testing, System Integration Testing, System Testing, and User Acceptance Testing.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Analytical and data analysis skills within a technical environment, preferably SQL.
  • Healthcare knowledge, preferably in Medicaid claims processing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA.
  • Capacity to establish and maintain positive work relationships with coworkers, clients, members, providers, and customers.
