About the Role: Descripción del Rol

As a Senior Software Development Engineer in the Zillow Group Data Management team, you will play a crucial role by delivering validated, high-quality property datasets that serve as the single source of truth across the organization. You will:

• Design, implement, and own mission-critical ETL pipelines.
• Contribute to the architecture and development of near real-time and batch data products.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, data analysts, data scientists, and machine learning engineers to productionalize analytic solutions.
• Enable product engineering teams to onboard their data using data mesh principles and architecture.

This role is categorized as a teleworker position, allowing you to work from any location in Mexico, though occasional travel to Mexico City is recommended for office events. Along with a competitive base salary and benefits, the position is also eligible for bonuses based on factors like experience, performance, and location.

Quién Eres

To excel in this role, you should have:

• Experience designing and building complex, highly scalable and reliable data pipelines using the Big Data ecosystem (Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Presto, Airflow, Kinesis, or equivalents).
• 5+ years of software development experience, with high proficiency in Python, Java, Scala, or another programming language.
• Strong SQL knowledge.
• Thorough understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Experience working with customers to understand and capture requirements.
• A deep understanding of distributed databases and both streaming and batch-processing systems.
