Senior Software Engineer, AI and ML

Lab Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled individual in ML and Deep Learning algorithms, frameworks, and application development. This is an excellent opportunity to join the Samsung XR-AI Team in MPS to build next generation AI-based Avatars. The team is committed to developing the Samsung AR-Emoji platform with AI features. This is a fascinating area for Samsung, particularly the Mobile Graphics team that powers countless applications in the AI Avatar space. Join the Mobile Platform Solutions and assist us in constructing next generation avatars. Responsibilities Include: - Design, implement and evolve data models for AI-based avatars - Carry out research and analysis to make optimal architectural and design decisions that enhance the quality of the Avatar SDK on PC/Mobile - Work closely with the Android team for ML-model integration into the mobile space - Write a significant amount of code and conduct code reviews - Participate in new product concepts and create proofs-of-concept prototypes - Actively participate and contribute to scrum meetings Experience Requirements: - MS/PhD in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience - 3+ years of industry experience with strong Computer Science fundamentals in Data Structures, Algorithm Design, Complexity Analysis, and ML-relevant products - Comprehensive experience with ML/DL systems and/or modeling skills - Hands-on experience with data analysis and real-life data model creation using pandas, numpy, nltk, matplotlib etc., - Good working knowledge of at least one of the frameworks - TensorFlow/Keras/PyTorch - Solid hands-on experience with Python coding - Expert knowledge of machine learning / deep learning algorithms -- classification, clustering, regression, reinforcement learning, Bayesian modeling, algorithm design, and theory of computation. Knowledge of Generative AI is a plus - Good practical knowledge of stream and batch processing, distributed caching, messaging systems Our total rewards programs are designed to incentivize and engage exceptional talent. Within the base pay range, individual rates depend on a variety of factors, including the role’s function and location as well as the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, education, and training. This is part of our comprehensive compensation package with annual bonus eligibility and generous benefits to help you live a good life. Base Pay Range: $142,600—$196,000 USD Additional Information: Essential Job Functions: This position will be performed in an office setting.
