Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Translational Data Scientist with robust software engineering, data analytics skills, and an oncology background to advance our Translational Sciences team. You will lead the development and maintenance of a biomarker software solution to support our clinical-stage oncology assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and customization of biomarker software for clinical-stage oncology assets.
- Manage data ingestion, integration, and visualization efforts for our targeted toxin and immune-oncology programs.
- Oversee external scientists/programmers and develop integrated non-clinical/clinical biomarker databases.
- Migrate internal R-scripts and Shiny apps into the software solution.
- Provide platform training and support to Bicycle scientists.
- Support data management of preclinical and clinical datasets (e.g. Nanostring, NGS).
- Integrate relevant datasets for reverse translation analytics, developing clear analyses and visualizations.
- Collaborate in a cross-functional environment, effectively communicating with project teams.
- Document data transfer specs, R scripts, and data analysis processes.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Experience with clinical biomarker software solutions.
- Proficient in coding (R preferred) for data ingestion, wrangling, integration, and analysis.
- Strong software engineering skills, familiarity with AWS, Posit, and Gitlab.
- Strong bioinformatics skills, including sequencing data analysis.
- Experience with oncology-focused biomarker datasets.
- Proactive in a fast-paced environment. Team player, conscientious, organized, and creative.
Desirable:
- Experience with EDC and/or biomarker data from clinical trials.
- Familiarity with LSAF.
